Common record types
Use A/AAAA for IP, CNAME for aliases, MX for email, TXT for verification, NS for authority, SOA for zone data, and CAA for certificate policy.
The browser fetches Cloudflare or Google directly. The queried domain is sent to the chosen resolver, not to the site backend.

Cache and propagation
DNS results may vary because of cache, TTL, and propagation. For recent changes, compare resolvers and wait for previous TTLs to expire.
